Cornwall Heritage Trust

Home to the Scobell Armstrong family since the 1750’s, Nancealverne has been gifted to Cornwall Heritage Trust by the family to secure its long-term future and ensure its heritage is shared with the communities of Cornwall for generations.

The house, parts of which date back to the Elizabethan period, has been sympathetically maintained and was once a focal point for community events such as gymkhanas, performances and gatherings.

Nancealverne also contains a remarkable collection of portraits and mementoes that tell the stories of the family that lived here for nearly 300 years.

Cornwall Heritage Trust is currently developing plans for an extensive archival and interpretation project to explore how best to share the property and its collections with the public.
